The Buller river runs through a gorge in the heart of the district and meets the sea at Westport. The Buller gorge is one of my favourite routes to drive, it follows the river inland weaving through limestone mountains and lush beech forest. luckily there are plenty of pull off’s so you can stop and enjoy the view.
